In 1946, the “first” hotel in the culturally-rich town of Songkhla unveiled itself to visitors. Songkhla Taeraek Antique Hotel has made a thriving business. Boasting the spectacular architecture of traditional terra cotta brick and wood, the 26-room-hotel was famed for providing shower service to guests. Its legacy lives on in which 71 years later, Mr.Krajang Jaruprukphan, the passionate antique lover/collector and founder of Songkhla’s Baan Nakhon Nai Museum, decided to revive this living-history as well as passing on the hotel’s unique old-school charm to travellers of new generation. The renovation of the hotel came from the mixed concept of combined museum and hotel – lodging venue bathed in the charm of cultural value and artisanal aesthetics crafted from generation of unique artists.
