The Pine SculptureInspired by a pine cone found in the surrounding nature, this iconic sculpture marks as a contemporary art installation, representing the abundance of a lush and last existing pine forest in Songkhla province that protecting many lives from wavy and stormy sea along the coastline of the Pacific. The artist translates the unique shape and form of pine cone into an enigmatic art piece made of stainless steel sheets, with a kinetic system that allows the wind to create a movement for each metallic scale. Instructed 400 metres above a black platform, the glistening surface of each sheet reflects colours of different time as the day goes by, from golden sunrise to purple nightfall, making each visit to the sculpture a truly special moment.
